Let's All Go To The Drive In, Let's All Go To The Drive In...
Seventy nine years ago today, Richard Hollingshead built the first drive-in movie theater. At my home town drive-in, I got to see Fritz the Cat, The Exorcist, The French Connection, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Klute, Billy Jack, Play Misty For Me, All The Pretty Maids, Vanishing Point (the good original one), Chrome and Hot Leather, and every other degrading, debasing, immoral, ruinous, rancorous film of the sex-drugs-and-rock-and-roll 1970s that I could never have seen at the walk-in movie theater. Thank you Richard, thank you.

All We Are Sayin', Is Give Peace A Chance
Occupy Paris, 1968 Style |
Everybody's Talkin' 'Bout Revolution Evolution Regulation Meditation
Flagellation, Integration, Occupation, Desperation...
Something for a fevered nation, something for its inflammation
Simple tonic, take a chance
Try to soothe the wardance trance:
A simple line from John Devine
Give the boil a blessed lance
All he was sayin' was Give Peace A Chance

Never Freed
Never again to drink of thee,
my wearied soul still bends in need.
It strains away though never freed,
for it cannot stay but cannot leave.
